Soulja Boy got the "Juice"

Soulja Boy recently released a Juice mixtape whose cover art mimics the original movie posters for Juice. The Juice mixtape will serve as the mini-movie’s soundtrack.

The flick may end up looking more like an extended music video than a feature film since Soulja has called on a music video director to put it all together.

Soulja Boy: “I got [the] same video director that shot ‘Crank That,’ ‘Kiss Me Thought the Phone,’ ‘Turn My Swag On’—my most successful videos,” he said.

There might be some familiar faces in the Soulja Boy remake.

Soulja Boy: “Cam’Ron reached out to get in the movie. Some of the original actors that were in the original reached out, too,” Soulja said. “You know the chubby one? He reached out. He actually wanted a part. I thought that was cool, so I told the director, Rage, to just go ahead and put him in the movie.”

Filming starts this month, but Soulja hasn’t announced a premiere date yet.

Although Soulja cast himself in Tupac’s role in this mini-movie, there’s still no word on who will portray the slain rapper in the upcoming Tupac biopic.
